Huskisson Hotel Redevelopment
Client: DOMA Group
EMM was engaged to undertake an assessment of noise and vibration impact from and on the proposed Huskisson Hotel development. We assessed the impacts from construction, operation and traffic on the surrounding community as well as impacts from the surrounding environment and proposed operations on proposed apartments. EMM prepared an environmental assessment under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act for this Major Project to which Part 3A of the Act applied.

Newell Highway Grong Grong Improvement
Client: NSW RTA
EMM undertook an operational noise and construction noise and vibration assessment of the proposed Newell Highway By-pass at Grong Grong NSW. We deployed long term and short term noise monitoring to establish existing traffic and ambient noise levels, established criteria, modelled future traffic noise levels of the proposal, prepared the noise contours and assessed potential impacts in accordance with state policy.

Proposed Warkworth Extension 2010
Client: Rio Tinto Coal Australia Coal & Allied
EMM undertook the environmental assessment and reporting for an extension of open cut coal mining at the Warkworth Mine in the Hunter Valley. A large component of this assessment was the noise and vibration impact assessment that required extensive field validation (using speakers) and included detailed three-dimensional modelling. The results of the validated noise model for the operation of the proposal was illustrated as contours over surrounding communities.
